There was a time - not so very long ago - that video was a primarily passive affair, trundling along on linear VCR's with little to no interaction save for the pause and stop buttons. The advent of DVD and VCD changed all that with branching content and interactive interfaces - but we can still go further.

The next great innovation in video will be full interactivity. Imagine viewing a video of a car and being able to click the bonnet to get under the hood. We've glimpsed the future - and we can tell you, while it may not be orange, it's mighty fine!
