web & multimedia designers
The New Year has again started well for Deepblue with a number of newly confirmed projects coming through early. Still, as headlines go, this one's proven to be a bit of a headscratcher trying to find an even slightly logical link between rabbits and web design. Not the easiest topics to try and link together.
We're very happy to confirm we've been confirmed as development partner for a new website for plastic container manufacturer, DMD of Aberdeen. The company, which is based at a facility in the city's Bridge of Don area, is a leading plastic packing company and provides plastic trays, thermoformed trays, pvc collations and bespoke trays to various different industries. Deepblue has been commissioned to produce a new fully updateable CMS website and e-commerce platform for the company. The site is expected to go live in the second half of February 2011.
Woodalls Healthcare, a national designer and supplier of healthcare products for care homes in the UK and beyond, has chosen to partner with Deepblue for the development of its new showcase website. The site, which is being built 100% bespoke from the ground up, will feature a comprehensive CMS powering text, links, navigation and images. As with all Deepblue CMS productions, the site will allow for unlimited additonal pages and edits. Furthermore, the design will feature a highly aesthetic layout with fullscreen background graphics to show the company's design work at the highest detail, complete with downloads area, video and case studies. Updates to follow in the next few weeks.
We're delighted to announce we've been chosen as the developer for the production of a new full CMS website for soft fruit supplier Castleton Farm. The Farm is situated on the North East coast near Stonehaven and specialises in growing strawberries, raspberries and blueberries - the majority of which go to Tesco and also the prestigious retailer Marks and Spencer. The Deepblue-produced CMS site will also allow the company to detail their Farm shop and cafe and the site is expected to go live in late February.
Sean Dines Plastering approached Deepblue to construct a simple website to help showcase the company and its various works. In these difficult economic times, we're all more aware than ever the advantages that can be gained by having an online presence. One need only look to the ever-diminishing size of the Yellow Pages and Phone Book to see that most people now search online instead of in the traditional directories. With this in mind, we constructed a static website for Sean Dines, allowing him to get referenced in Google and start promoting his company online as well as off.
Last year we produced a ground-breaking new website for the Lecht ski centre featuring live webcam images and updated snow, road and weather reports. The site, which featured an updating Flash panel complete with 3D flythroughs of the area in summer and winter, was hailed a great success by sports enthusiasts that frequent the area. However, all this technology had one major drawback - it made the site unusable on most mobile platforms. Earlier year we comprehensively fixed this - taking the extensive information offered by the Lecht site and putting it into a stripped-down, fast-loading version of the site suitable for use anywhere.
We've been meaning to mention for a wee while now that we finally got round to uploading some of the better 3D work produced for the Rigmar CD we made last year. Conveniently enough, we included most of this work in our new 3daberdeen.co.uk website - a showcase for the ever-increasing amount of work we're doing in this area.
